Our Needs

The principle need of Mercy House Homeless Shelter is funds to sustain our facility. We do not receive any funds from National, State or local government agencies. We have to seek grants and donations from any available source. We have been sustained thus far by small donations from churches, businesses and individuals willing to make donations on a recurrent basis.

Like any other facility we have to pay bills, salaries, rent, electricity, water, heat and air, etc.. All staff members are part-time employees because we do not have the funds to pay full time salaries.

We can not offer any services other than bed and bath, due to lack of funds. We pray that we will evolve to a point where services such as social counseling and continued education can be made available to our residents.
